How should I set up my home network?

Postby ev71 » Thu Feb 23, 2012 11:33 am

My household has about 6 laptops, and one desktop computer. The computer has been used as a server before to transfer files. We have an apple tv, logitech revue, and xboxs that we want to stream media, as well as a 1 TB hard drive with over 300 movies and TV shows.

What is th best way to stream all of the movies and tv shows throughout the house, on the desktop.

The cheapest way would be to have one wireless router in the centre of the house, and have all your components connected to this. You could use long ethernet cables to connect them to the router/modem as well.
