I'm looking to buy a Apple computer. At first i was going to get the iMac, but i love the portability of the MacBookPro, and the 2 programs i realy want to run are After Effect CS5 and FCP (preferably the latest FCP), i want to know, can a 13in MacBookPro i5 run both of these programs? Please help

A new one? Probably but a 13" screen is going to be a big disappointment. I've got a 27" display with my Mac Pro and that is just about right for Premiere pro, Final Cut pro, and AE Pro. AE will be the most difficult due to the small screen and if you have more than 5 layers, it'll be a pain. Also, you're going to need a ton or RAM with AE and any serious use is gonna heat that little machine up fast.

Go to the apple store and pull up IMovie on a 13" and see how much real estate you will have.
