Can i make an i7 iMac even faster?

I mean its already quad-core i7 with 8GB of RAM

I was just wondering if its possible to get it even faster than it already is.

depends on what you want it faster for. but in general an ssd. or you could switch mac out for windows 7. or for the most speed increase you could use a version of linux such as ubuntu.

depends on what you want it faster for. but in general an ssd. or you could switch mac out for windows 7. or for the most speed increase you could use a version of linux such as ubuntu.
Using an SSD (solid state drive) instead of a hard drive is the last piece of the puzzle to making your computing experience fast. I have a MacBook Pro with a Core i5, 4 GB RAM, and an SSD. Boot times and application launch times are lightning compared to anything I used to use before, and I think it's mainly due to the SSD.

If you are running games they will be faster on Windows (through bootcamp). A SSD will certainly make it faster for general usage, but research to make sure your computer will be OK with the new HD (some newer iMacs are picky). If you look at OWC you may be able to replace your optical drive with a SSD, I know they have this for laptops.
