How to open a recently downloaded application on my iMac?

Postby crompton84 » Sun Dec 11, 2011 9:40 am

Ok,
So i recently downloaded an app (trial) and it took me through the whole installing process and everything, but unfortunately, I can not find a way to open it! I have gone to my application menu, downloads menu, and searched it in the finder. It will let me install it again, but I don't want to waste space on my computer! Any thoughts?
Thanks,

Was the purchase through Apple Apps store or from an online website?

If downloaded from an online website, what was the file extension for the downloaded file? If the file extension for the downloaded file is .DMG it would have mounted and you would be prompted to drag and drop a folder or icon to a place on your computer. Where was that place? Applications? Utilities? or somewhere totally different.

Sounds like it came with it's own installer. Where did you choose to install the app? Usually they are placed in the Applications directory.
If you find it just double click on it to launch it.
