I was thinking about getting an Apple Imac but I don't know if Photoshop does well on them. I'm so not computer savvy, so I have no idea. Any help is greatly appreciated :-)

Photoshop works just fine on an iMac! (Just be sure you buy the Mac version, Adobe makes a version for Mac and a version for the PC)

Before purchasing Photoshop version you are considering be certain the specs of your iMac meet or exceed the specifications required by Photoshop for installation on a Mac.

You haven't mentioned what version of the Mac OS the iMac is using, how old it is or what specifications the iMac has. Also knowing the the iMac specs (processor type and speed, amount of RAM installed and hard drive space available) and what version of Photoshop you are considering, doesn't offer sufficient information for a definite answer to your question.

It is quite possible if you are using an older iMac that is a powerpc, installation of the CS 5 may be an issue. It is as equally possible that if your iMac is brand new, purchased at Apple or another provider of Apple products, there may be no install issues with the newest version of CS5 Photoshop.)

It was originally designed for MAC, and it just as good or better than the PC version.
