Imac display help pleasee?

Ok so i bought an apple cinema display the fire wire cables are different do i have to use them? or can i just use the DVI? i have a 2011 imac and a 2007 apple cinema display... please help!

Well you wouldn't use firewire for connecting your cinema display!Ok so i bought an apple cinema display the fire wire cables are different do i have to use them? or can i just use the DVI? i have a 2011 imac and a 2007 apple cinema display... please help!
Not sure what cinema display you have!
It appears that your iMac has a mini DVI port! So use that! You may need to get an adapter depending on cinema display!
