When Boot is sits on the screen with the older Mac. I clicked on something that had to do with os 9 there was 10.3 on it at first. I have the os 10.1 upgrade stuff it has os 9.2 disc and 10.1. The Mac will also not boot from CD I have tried many other things. Also let it sit on boot screen for a while still nothing. Also dot want to buy another Mac

Try to give a better description. For example, does it stop at the tiny Mac face (first link below)? Or is it the "Welcome" screen (2nd link below)? "Older Mac" is too vague.

Restart and hold the shift key until you see the large Welcome face. If that doesn't help, restart holding the option key for 30 seconds to get the Startup Manager screen. Put the OS X install CD in, wait for the CD icon to appear (if it doesn't, click the curved arrow and wait a bit more), click to select the CD (or use arrow keys), and press Return. When you get into the installer, go past the language choice, and open Disk Utility from the Installer menu. Repair the HDD.

If you don't want to buy a newer computer, try to get your hands on an OS 10.4 DVD -- oops, no DVD drive. OK, maybe you will be blessed with a miracle and find a four-CD set of OS 10.4. If you do, keep a lookout for those flying pigs.

asfd, it's not a virus. Don't be an idiot. There were very, VERY few viruses for OS 9, and I don't know of any that were remotely severe. Not to mention there sure as hell aren't any of them floating around in the wild these days.

And you're being kind of hazy about this question, but it sounds like you might have screwed the system folder blessing. Boot up from the 9.2 disc and try setting the startup disk from the control panel. If that doesn't work you may need to start reinstalling 9.2 and OS X.

But that's kinda moot. You don't want to buy another Mac? Too bad. Yours is over 10 years old and is completely obsolete. 9.2 and 10.1 are utterly useless for anything even remotely modern. It's way past time to upgrade.

Buff up on your English a bit.
You have a virus.
