Memory(RAM)? or Processor speed?

I'm planning on getting an iMac soon and I'm planning on upgrading it.
I want it to be nice an fast so I can edit with no delay.
And i was wondering if I should upgrade the processor speed, or the memory(RAM)
Which one would make the computer faster?

More RAM is good if you're going to be running multiple programs at once, a better processor means that you can do everything faster.
