My old pc vs my new mac processor? Help!?

I am currently on windows vista with this processor:
T2060 @ 1.60 GHz
RAM: 1 GB
The new iMac i bought:
2.7GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5
RAM: 8 GB
How much better should I expect the new computer's performance to be?
(this is NOT a Mac vs. PC thing)
