(My apologies if this is a completely stupid question.)

This is the one that I mean. Of course not the built in one. Now, I've used iMac's since I was a little kid, I've never owned a PC before now. I recently bought this HP laptop, and the difference in webcams is unbearable for me. I was hoping that if I were to get an iSight camera like this, I could easily hook it up and get the same quality as on my Mac.
Yet again, I'm sorry if this was an obvious question!
