Can you play itunes apps on your computer?

so i was looking for somewhere to purchase diner dash and all of the websites seem not very trustworthy, so i had the idea of purchase it off itunes and just playing it on my computer...but i dotn have an itouch or ipad..would that work?

Well actually, the new mac that is coming out DOES have available apps.

You cannot play any iTunes apps on your computer only on Apple iDevices.
