Does the Apple Wireless keyboard work offline?

I am interested in getting the IPad 2 along with the wireless keyboard. I have heard great reviews on the keyboard and its connection capabilities. I do travel a lot and so I will not always be connected to WiFi. Will the keyboard still connect to the IPad?

Yes your keyboard will indeed be able to connect. For one thing, the iPad can receive any WiFi signals anywhere it is, it is always looking (unless you have WiFi off) and more importantly, the Wireless Keyboard is used through Bluetooth, not WiFi, so you should have no problem at all.
