How to install software form disk onto iPad?

Postby emory » Mon Jan 10, 2011 3:17 pm

I ourchased Microsoft Office for Mac for my wife for Christmas. The iPad does not have a disk drive nor does it have a USB port. I have a DVD drive that I use on my laptop, but the cable is a USB cable.

How do you get software loaded onto an iPad if the software comes on a CD?

Is there some way I can downolad the software and use the product key off my CDs?

If I go to the Apple store with the iPad and the disks, can they install it for us and will there be a charge?

Is there an adapter that I can use to plug USB devices into the iPad?

Help!

I have expensive software that I can't get installed.

iPad software won't come on discs. They can only be installed from iTunes (assuming it's not jailbroken, and in your case I highly doubt it is). Microsoft Office for Mac is just as it says: for Mac. Not iPad.

iPad != computer. You cannot install Mac software on an iPad. Period.
