How do i get my photos from my Iphone onto my Laptop?

How do i get my photos from my Iphone onto my Laptop? Im using windows 7 and when i open the device in my computer there are no pictures in any folder. I have installed Itunes but still not sure how to do it.

Additional Details

So far no glory, ihave the pictures that are under camera roll off but i still have lots more that are not under camera roll. i have tried syncpod but it doesnt detect my iphone, i dont know if i need itunes installed for this to work but i uninstalled it so i could use windows to remove the photos in the camera roll. any ideas???

You'd need iTunes to manage the iPhone anyway so you should re-install it. If for whatever reason its not coming up in My Computer you could install real software like Picasa to see if that detects it & use that to import the photos.
