How many songs does a 16GB iPhone hold?

I just ordered a new iPhone from Verizon, 16 GB.
I am going to be using it as both my phone, and my iPod, but I have over 2,600 songs. I'm worried they won't all fit.

How many songs does a 16GB iPhone or iPod usually hold?

1 gig is around 200...so 3,200.

1 gig is around 200...so 3,200.
Up to 3000 max depending on the file size, I have an 8gb iPhone 3gs that has 1462 songs on it and I still have a little room to put more. So if you have 16gbs that's double what I have, do the math.
