Go to Settings -> General and enable Auto-Lock. This will lock your phone after a certain period of inactivity. The shortest time limit is a minute, which is probably what you'll want so you don't drain too much battery. It would help to go into Settings and turn your Brightness down, too, to save on power.

If you don't want to keep the jailbreak, just go into iTunes and restore your phone to factory settings. That will erase the jailbreak and help your phone run a little better.

Look under Settings and maybe just put the phone on QUIET when you don't want the ringing or get the phone fixed etc.

There should be another button, try the button you use to end calls, or some red button.
