im trying to jailbreak my iphone 4s i download absinthe on my mac but when i try to open it it keeps quitting unexpectedly and telling me to relaunch how do i fix it

Maybe try running it as administrator or troubleshoot compatibility.I won't know any other because I have a windows.

I am having the same issue. The Modmyi forum has the below solution listed.... but I have no idea what the heck that means. I saw numerous comments following it saying it worked.... so if this makes sense to you, explain it to us! Thanks!


SOLUTION: load terminal, type 'sudo' and then drag the Absinthe app into the terminal command line, and hit enter. it will ask you for your user password, then absinthe will load! good luck!

i was having the same issue. i was able to resolve it by doing the following:

right/two finger click- the icon absinthe
go to show package contents
then contents
then macOS
then double click the file called absinthe there.

the program will look the same but will actually complete successfully now.

If your macbook has Dept: 32-Bit colors it doesn't work.

To open Terminal, navigate to your Applications folder, open Utilities, and double click on Terminal.

Backup iPad. When done, go to settings (in the iPad) hit general -> Reset -> Erase all content and settings. When done, activate iPad and run Absinthe and ur good to go. Jailbreak took less than 5 min. Once Jailbroken go to iTunes, right click on iPad and hit “restore from Backup”. Hope this helps.
