IPhone Update on a iPhone given to someone?

Postby niece82 » Mon Feb 06, 2012 3:43 am

My friend was just given an iPhone from one of her friends, but my computer refuses to let me update it to the iOS 5! It just won't connect at all?
Can someone help me please?

Make sure you are signed out from your own Apple account when you are trying to update, or iTunes will get "confused" about what you are trying to do. Then connect your friends Iphone to the computer and iTunes should then find the phone and check for any updates. You may have to restore the phone to factory settings first, as it may have the first owner's original settings, such as games, apps, music, etc, and be signed into Facebook, emails, etc in the original person's name.

the samsung galaxy has so many more features then the iphone. plus you're not restricted to what you're allowed to do! you can change the entire phone layouts and even install themes. a lot of the features that come with android phones you MUST jailbreak the iphone before you can even glimpse that possibility
