If I reset my iPhone 3G, will I lose all data within apps?

Having a problem with my iPhone 3G and O2 have advised me that I need to try a full reset. Before I do this, I would like to know if I will lose all the data I have saved within my apps.

I have lots of notes, saved games, passwords etc saved within various apps. I am asuming that when I reset back to default settings, I will need to perform a sync to get my apps back and although this will restore them, will they be "as new" or still contain my saved stuff?

Thanks!

Just make sure you back up the iPhone before you restore it and your settings, data, info and in-app information will be saved. iTunes will ask you if you wish to back up the phone before restoring. Click yes and you'll be good to go.

Hope this helps.
