Unlimited Family Messaging (AT&T)?

Postby emilek » Fri Jan 28, 2011 5:23 am

I was wondering about adding the unlimited messaging and data to my plan. It says it's only an extra $30 a month for it, but it says for "basic phones." I'm not entirely sure what they mean by this. I don't know if they mean the cheapest phones, or if it means any phone that's not an IPhone or something. The phone I have is a Strive.

It's any phone that does not require a data plan, such as Droid, Blackberry, or the iPhone. So if you are paying for a data plan then you won't be able to get the $30 plan.

That's right. If you have a phone that isn't considered a PDA or smartphone, then it's a basic phone. The at&t website will show you what features are required for your phone or you can call up and ask.
