What does the white arrow pointing to my battery life on my iPhone mean?

I believe this has to do with either the iPod playing or location services depending on what you're doing when this happens.

Its not an arrow. Its the play icon & its on whenever music is playing on an iPhone/iPod touch/iPad.

It means location services is turned on which means battery drain and 3g credit may be ticking away . Best turned off till you need it
