Why is there an E on my iPhone ?

Postby marshall32 » Sun Aug 28, 2011 9:21 am

It Stands for Edge. This is a 2G Network. If You Have 3G Set to Off, You Will Be on Edge or Also Known as 2G. I Have My 3G Set to Off and I'm Used to Seeing the E.

Hope This Helped.

It means that that the type of service your receiving. It happens in certain rural cities. It's happening to me right now. It's no extra charge, but it moves slower. Kind of ANNOYING!

Does it say it on the screen?? It may stand for the web network that your connected to 'EDGE' although 3G or 3.5G are the better networks.
