Can I play videos and music from my ipod through my TV through the USB?

I have an iPod touch, and my TV is a LG 42PJ350 with a USB port on the side.
I was wondering whether I'd be able to view videos and listen to music (and also possibly go on safari) through my TV with just the normal wire to connect my iPod to my laptop?
When i plug the iPod into the TV it charges it but i cant get it to come up on the screen?
If not, is there a wire I could buy that would let me do this?

this is it its well worth the money ou can do little slideshows from your ipod to the tv greatness :) ooh an it does what you want plays movies, tv shows, songs on your tv. cant go on safari though.
