The lead itself may be one of the following:
3.5mm Stereo Jack -> 3.5mm Stereo Jack
3.5mm Stereo Jack -> Twin Phono

The port in the back of the car stereo to which it is connected may be called "Aux", "Line In", "MP3", "DVD" or iPod", or indeed anything the manufacturer likes.

Examining this port will allow you to determine which lead to buy. Google the names of the leads for a picture. The 3.5mm Stereo Jack is the normal size headphone jack connector. The smaller headphone connectors are called 2.5mm Stereo Jack.
