Plug in your iPod

Go to "My Computer"

Open your iPod's drive (F for me)

Make sure you can see all hidden folders (If you aren't sure go to Tools, Folder Options, View Tab, and check Show)

Open the folder "iPod_Control"

Open the folder called "Device"

Rename the file "_locked" to "_unlocked"

Hope this helped
(Make sure you back up the file your about to rename just I case)

Restore your iPod follow the steps below.

Turn on your iPod, hold down Home + Power, then wait about 7 seconds, iPod touch will be forced off, keep pressing and don't loose your finger, and then a few seconds later, iPod touch will light up again, then release Power but continue holding down Home, and then wait 2 seconds, the screen will appear itunes + USB cable icon, connect to your computer and click on restore.

Do not forget , itunes has backed up your iPod, so when you finish the restore, it will prompt you to set the new touch or recover data, be sure to select the set for the new touch, or your password will be back.

So this way will erase all the data, but there is no other way.
