I can't figure out the passcode to my ipod so the only thing i found to do is to restore it but i would lose all the data in my apps and stuff. is there anyway to delete, reset, or change the settings without deleting the ipod data? would jailbreaking work?

keep entering as many wrong passcodes as you can until it says connect to itunes. that unlocks it as long as you connect it to the same computer you synced with in the first place. or call 1-800-my-apple. or email apple support. you can find a link to email them at www.apple.com/support.
