How do i connect my ipod touch to windows media player to sync music from a c.d to itunes?

I have an itunes account, and i have sync(ed) things before. When i plug in my device and drag my media to the "Sync" section. It says please connect device. My ipod is connected to itunes and simply pluggged in on my computer. It's making me really mad. Grr. Any help? Thanks!!

WOW, that is kind of weird. Try these steps:
1. Insert the music CD or any other media, and save it in the computer.
2. Open ITune and click on File, ADD file to library or Ctrl. O,
3. Search for the saved media and add it to the ITunes library.
4. Connect the IPod, wait for the PC to show your IPod information in ITunes.
5. Once it's showed, click file, sync (your IPod) IPod.
This should do the trick, also make sure that the ITunes settings are ready to sync.
