How many songs can an 8 gig ipod nano hold? (roughly)?

I'm looking to buy an ipod nano for my sisters birthday. Deciding between the 8 gig and the 16 gig. Does anyone have any idea how many songs an 8 gig can hold compared to a 16 gig?

Say a song is 5MB

08GB = 08 192MB. Therefore that divided by 5 = 1638 songs
16GB = 16 384MB. Therefore that divided by 5 = 3276 songs

depends if your sister likes great sounding music or not , in case she does then i recommend the 16 gig because the 8 gig can barely hold 800 at 256Kbps or 320kbps, the 16 can hold twice as much . and if she likes watching many videos then i also say go for 16 . besides i say 16 is better value , your choice tho

8 gigs will hold about 2,000 songs 16 will hold about 4,000 songs

I personally have 818 songs 33 videos 70 podcasts 124 photos 7 games and 0 contacts and i have 647 megabytes real so I recomend the 8 gig nano unless you sister likes carrying a whole crap load of media in her pocket
