How do you do factory reset on the ipod touch?

Postby freeman20 » Sat May 28, 2011 9:14 pm

so my little bro tried getting into my touch which i had a password on, he kept trying and trying until he completely disabled it with the screen saying i have to plug it into itunes. the only problem with that is i got a new laptop, ive never used this laptop to sync the ipod, the old laptop is messed up so i cant go back to that one. when i connect it to this laptop,it says it couldnt connect to it cuz the ipod is password locked. i thought apple would be a little smarter about this but i guess not. how can i just reset my ipod and start all over or is there anything else i can try?

Try putting into recovery mode, or into DFU mode
- google these things -

and restore it via itunes
