My ipod touch screen went blank white!! whats wrong?

i updated my apps and then the screen blanked out to just white. it wont turn off or do anything

First hold the power button and the home button, and if that doesn't work plug it into your computer and reset it.

Try holding down the power button and the home button. It'll reset after a few seconds. You shouldn't lose any data either.

Plug it into iTunes restart it
