Where is the Aux, on my 2007 Honda Accord LX ?

Postby danylets » Sun Apr 10, 2011 8:09 am

I have a 2007 Honda Accord LX model, and I was wondering if this car comes with an auxillary - where I can plug in my ipod. There is a button that says CD/AUX, but I dont see where I can plug in my ipod. I am guessing I don't have one? Or am I not looking in the right place?

(Also, apparently Honda Accord's LX back speakers don't work - because it is a basemodel. COME ON HONDA... a good quality vehicle but some of the basics have to be limited? I can understand why I dont have leather seats - since its a base. But to take out my speakers and possibly not have an AUX plug in?)

You actually have to first install an interface before you can listen to your mp3 player. Honda's OEM http://musiclink.honda.com/Comp_Veh.html is good, but you can also install this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-EidsefrEbw1/p_581PA11HN2/USA-SPEC-Honda-iPod-Interface.html (I did this with my Accord). Your speaker issue seems to be because of something else, they should be working.

No, you car does not have factory AUX. Actually, most budget car brands like Honda and Toyota put this as add-on feature.

The only option you got is to buy OEM kit that you need to connect to the back of your stereo and feed the wire to the glove box or compartment right below the radio. You might even need some drilling. After that your AUX button will become operatable - you will have CD1 option that you don't have right now.

Here is the page where you can buy the kit:
This one supports latest iPhones/iPods.

Good luck,
