Why won't itunes sync some of my MPEG-4 videos?

Postby amoldo38 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 8:44 am

When I sync my ipod it grabs one of my videos that seems to have the identical set up and profiles of the others (mpeg-4). All the itunes settings seem to be the same, what am I doing wrong? I can watch them in iTunes, but it just won't sync to my ipod(30GB 4th gen video ipod).

hi, please make sure video format is compatible with ipod. I have an iPod Touch. I ever met the same problem and got my videos in .avi, .flv, .mov, .wmv, .3gp format etc, even some MP4 could not compatible with my iPod either.
So, first I convert them to Apple iPod Touch MPEG (*.mp4) with a program called SnowFox iPod Video Converter. It could add the converted videos to iTunes automatically, and what u need do is just to drag the files to ur iPod.

Btw, I tested many converters others recommended to me and I decide to try SnowFox iPod video converter, not only because of its powerful conversion, but also of its superior video quality. And this converter could be compatible with all series and my sister's iPhone and iPad too.
Try it and hope it could help. Good luck :D

Not all iTunes video can be transferred to iPod, please make sure your video is compatible with iPod. If the video resolution or video bitrate beyond iPod limitation, even though they are mp4 video, you can't upload them to iPod. For example, some iTunes purchased movie are High definition movie, the resolution is too high to play on iPod, you can't sync it to your iPod. For more information about iPod compatible video, you can visit apple official website.

Or you may take a look at this step by step direction, it's about how to convert and put video to iPod, it works pretty well for me.
