Yes, you do! You burn calories when you type too. Any movement (energy expended) will burn calories (energy ingested). Though, the more you put in (food and drinks), the more you got to expend (move and work out) in order to lose weight.
To keep the same weight one takes in as many calories as they burn each day. Swinging can definitely burn more calories (as long as you move legs and pull/push with your arms) much more than typing. It can burn just as much or more than a slow walk for the same time period.
