I just got an iPod touch for Christmas and I was wondering if you use someone elses wi-fi, they can see what you are doing/looking up on the internet. Also the email address used for the iPod, do they send emails to it about what you are looking up on the web?

Yes I Can.
I can (and do) monitor what sites are accessed who is accessing the network connection, and can remotely access the pc's on the network

If they have setup logging then yes they can see the url you visited. In some case they may also get email notification of specific sites you visit. A network analyzer may also be used to see what you are doing if it has access to the same network ie used by the owner.
