How To Make My Sims 3 Run Faster (on computer)?

It's not too bad, just goes a little slow, what can I do to make it run faster?
I have a Macbook Pro... version 10.6.4

get the upgrade. it was really slow when i first got it..but then there was an upgrade that fixed it
