Minecraft GUI API Mod help!?

Hey guys I really badly need all of your help. I need help installing and running the GUI API mod for Minecraft.

Things to note:

1. I AM on a MacBook Pro
2. I dont have anything like WinZip, 7-Zip, etc.

Also if maybe someone could send me a link to a video thats shows how to install the mod for Mac that would be awesome. Also if you do plan to explain it in words please go in depth so I can figure it out easier.

Also I have installed it before and when the option on the Minecraft pause screen comes up and I click it the launcher crashes and it does not work.
